Aya Nagatomi is one of Japanese most vasatile young musicians, who has started her professional career as a concert pianist in 2007. She embraces a wide range of style and repertoire from works of Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Beethoven, Mozart, Bach to modern works of Kapustin.

Born in Saitama, Japan, Aya took her first piano lessons at the age of three. Having outstanding musical expression, she has regularly held recitals and joint concerts with various artists since she was ten. In 2004, she was selected as a member of the 9th Hamamatsu International Piano Academy. She was also honored to perform "Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No.2" at the Shirakobato Music Festival in 2005. After graduated from Tokyo College of Music High School with distinguished top honors, she enrolled in the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary where she also had successful recitals.

2007 saw her first recording in Tokyo, Japan, and her first Japan tour in Fukuoka, Takamatsu, Osaka, and Tokyo, receiving considerable publicity in her vivid, profound, and impressive music. Her further recitals are scheduled mainly in the US, Japan and Europe and her debut with an Orchestra is currently scheduled in summer 2008.
